Graeme, I was astonished that you could take our internet connection from worse than dial up to 7mbps in under an hour. That problem had plagued our house for years and nobody else we got in to look at it could sort it out – in fact it’s clear now that some of them made it worse.

This is to advise that I have known Graeme Barrett of Peel Datacomms for a number of years, both professionally and socially.

I have utilized Graeme’s expertise in both telecommunications and data-cabling during my time here at the Narrogin Hospital I.T. Department and later as the Senior Field Support Officer for the W.A. Country Health Service, Wheatbelt Region.

I recently called on Graeme’s expertise in relocating the PABX and data-communications equipment and cabling at the Boddington Hospital.

The actual move was fairly minor, moving the equipment from one room to the adjoining room however this relocation involved moving all data and telecommunications cabling, relocating the hospital’s PABX and moving the data equipment as well as installing a 47RU Data Cabinet.

As this move involved the hospital’s telephone system, this required forward planning to ensure that the change occurred with minimal disruption to services. Part of the relocation on the final day involved disconnecting and re-patching in excess of 250 connections on the Floor Distribution Frame.

The move also involved coordinating with Telstra.

The remainder of the relocation involved either re-cabling or patching of the existing data cables in a small but busy hospital.

This was also achieved with minimal disruption.

Part of the re-cabling exercise involved re-locating two fibre-optic cables, one belonging to the hospital and the other with Telstra.

Telstra re-located their fibre-optic cabling and equipment however the hospital’s fibre-optic cabling was relocated by Graeme. Once again, this was successful.

Graeme gave us an estimated down time of two hours where phone calls would need to be diverted to Mobile phones. This was achieved with 2 minutes to spare.

The relocation of these essential services were undertaken by Graeme with minimal disruption and all services were functional at the end of the anticipated resumption.

We have used Peel Datacomms for our new office setup in Rockingham. Graeme was entrusted with setting up our Telephone and Computer Cabling for our Graphic and Web Design business. I couldn’t believe the ease in which he set our system up, although it was not a huge job for Graeme, it was a huge job for us, and he did it with ease.

We had 36 data points that were setup for computers and phones along with our Server cabinet and messages on hold system.

Graeme was always in consultation with us, and advising us of a better way to do things if it was needed, and the transition was so smooth it was unbelievable. We have had work done by other contractors in the past and always had teething problems afterwards, not with Peel Datacomms, it was all done with a minimum of fuss and on time.
